In 2023, a written interview featuring Jasper was published by Starter Story, founded by Pat Walls.
The interview covered the development of Plasfy and related brands and was read by approximately 20,000 founders.
Unauthorized Use
In July 2025, material from the interview — including name, likeness, and company branding — was used in external promotional content advertising a paid course offered by Starter Story.
The promotional material included:
- Screenshot from the original interview
- Use of Jasper’s image and identity
- Direct link to a paid course priced at $449
- Tracking parameters referencing Jasper’s brand
The material did not include:
- Link to the original interview
- Disclosure of non-involvement
- Clarification regarding lack of endorsement
The presentation created a clear impression of association or endorsement where none existed.
No authorization was requested or granted.
Response
A formal request was made for removal of the interview and associated promotional material.
No response was received.
In January 2026, Starter Story initiated contact requesting participation in a YouTube interview.
The removal request was reiterated, and the unauthorized commercial use of identity was formally raised.
Resolution
Starter Story confirmed the following actions:
- Removal of three interviews relating to Jasper’s businesses
- Removal of an additional related interview
- Confirmation that no further case studies remained within their system
Written confirmation was provided.
No further action was required.

Archived records of all original materials, links, and redirects have been retained.
