Why I Acquired Media Companies & Moved Into Digital Media

I’ve always been a builder. I started with software, scaled my businesses, and established my place in the industry. But once you hit a certain level, you realize something: you’re not meant to stay in one lane forever.

Recently, I acquired several media outlets, magazine publications, and digital businesses—not because I had to, but because I wanted to.

Why Media? Why Now?

Because I’ve built the freedom to choose.

Plasfy and my software brands continue to grow. I’m still fully involved, still improving them, and still pushing forward. But when you have control over your time, you start asking different questions:

What excites me? What’s next? What do I want to build—not out of necessity, but out of genuine interest?

For me, that’s media. Storytelling, branding, culture—it all matters.

This Isn’t About Money. It’s About What Interests Me.

Most people make moves because they have to. I make moves because I want to.

I’m not trying to build the next Hearst or Condé Nast. I don’t need a media empire. But I like this space—the creative control, the ability to shape narratives, the impact media holds.

Does This Change My Focus?

No. Plasfy and my core businesses are still moving full speed ahead. Updates, support, and improvements—nothing changes on that front.

But why stay locked into one thing forever? Once you master one field, the next step is exploration, experimentation, and expansion. That’s how real growth happens.

The Takeaway?

I believe in building what I want, when I want, on my own terms.

Some people will get it. Some won’t. And that’s fine.

But the reality is simple: I do this because I love it.
